Project Introduction

A mining company in Heihe procured an FY-LJ100-65-315 slurry pump.

A mining company in Heihe has long been troubled by slurry transport issues during the ore-processing stage. Previously, they used conventional slurry pumps, but these pumps wore out extremely quickly when handling the high-concentration slurry and large-particle ores found in the mine area. On average, components had to be replaced every little over a month, which not only disrupted production but also kept maintenance costs stubbornly high. Especially during winter, when temperatures in Heihe plummet, equipment frequently breaks down and requires repairs, making it particularly labor-intensive for workers to operate.

To solve this challenge, the company’s equipment procurement department compared several manufacturers and ultimately made its selection. FY-LJ100-65-315 slurry pump model We chose this pump primarily because of its excellent wear resistance—its wet-end components are made from a high-chromium wear-resistant alloy, specially designed for the harsh operating conditions found in mining environments. Additionally, it features an auxiliary impeller that provides supplementary sealing, helping to reduce back pressure on the impeller and extend the seal’s service life. This makes it perfectly suited for the high-concentration slurry transport requirements in mining areas. Moreover, the manufacturer has made insulation adjustments to the pump body specifically tailored to the low-temperature environment of Heihe, which is truly thoughtful and considerate.

Once the equipment was installed and put into operation, the results were immediately evident. Previously, the old pumps frequently experienced blockages and leaks when conveying slurry. Now, the FY-LJ100-65-315 slurry pump operates exceptionally smoothly and reliably—even slurry with high solid content can be conveyed without any trouble. Its flow rate and head fully meet the production requirements of the ore-dressing plant. Even more crucially, its wear resistance far exceeded expectations: after more than six months of use, the wetted parts showed virtually no noticeable wear. The number of maintenance interventions has decreased by 70% compared to before, significantly reducing both maintenance costs and downtime losses.

Master Wang, who is responsible for equipment maintenance, said: “We made the right choice with this pump! In the past, during winter, repairing the pump would leave our hands numb from the cold. Now, we hardly have to worry about it at all. The pump also operates quietly, making the entire ore-processing line run much smoother.” This procurement not only addressed the mining industry’s key production challenges but also aligned with the company’s commitment to energy conservation and reduced consumption in its green mine development efforts, laying a solid foundation for subsequent efficient production.
