The DL vertical multistage centrifugal pump consists of two main components: the motor and the pump. The motor is a Y-type three-phase asynchronous motor, and the pump and motor are connected via a coupling, forming a rigid assembly that requires no alignment during operation. The pump itself comprises a stator section and a rotor section. The stator section includes components such as the suction section, middle section, guide vanes, discharge section, and stuffing box housing. To prevent stator wear, the stator is equipped with sealing rings and balance sleeves; these components can be replaced with spares once worn out. The rotor section consists of the shaft, impeller, balance hub, and other parts. The lower end of the rotor is supported by a water-lubricated bearing, while the upper end is supported by angular contact ball bearings. In the DL vertical multistage centrifugal pump, most of the axial force is borne by the balance drum, with the remaining small residual axial force being absorbed by the angular contact ball bearings. The sealing between the suction and discharge sections and their mating surfaces is achieved through paper gaskets tightened by bolts to ensure a leak-proof seal. The shaft seal can be either a packing seal or a mechanical seal, and users can select the type that best suits their needs.
When viewed from the drive end, the pump rotates counterclockwise.
1. The DL vertical multistage centrifugal pump features a compact structure, small size, attractive appearance, and minimal footprint, thereby reducing construction costs.
2. The suction inlet and discharge outlet of the DL vertical multistage centrifugal pump are located on the same centerline, simplifying pipeline connections.
3. Depending on the actual situation, the inlet and outlet of the DL vertical multistage centrifugal pump can be configured in different orientations—90°, 180°, or 270°.
4. Depending on actual conditions, the outlet of the DL-type vertical multistage centrifugal pump can be configured with 1 to 5 outlets, enabling the same pump to achieve different head levels.

Installation Instructions for DL Vertical Multistage Centrifugal Pump

1. Inspect the pump and motor for any damage before installation.
2. The pump should be installed as close to the water source as possible.
3. There are two installation methods for the pump and base: one is a rigid connection directly mounted on a concrete foundation, and the other is a flexible connection using JGD-type vibration dampers.
Next, refer to the installation diagram for specific instructions.
4. For direct installation, the pump can be placed on a foundation and raised by 30–40 millimeters (for preparing to fill with cement slurry). Then, proceed with alignment and install the anchor bolts, followed by filling.
After the cement mortar has dried for 3 to 5 days, recheck the alignment. Once the cement is completely dry, tighten the nuts on the anchor bolts.
5. When installing the piping, both the inlet and outlet pipelines should have their own supports; the pump flange should not bear excessive weight from the piping.
6. When the pump is used in applications involving suction lift, a foot valve should be installed at the inlet pipe end. Moreover, the inlet and outlet pipelines should not have excessive bends, and there must be no leaks of water or air.
7. It is best to install a filter screen on the inlet pipeline to prevent impurities from entering the impeller. The effective area of the filter screen should be 3 to 4 times the area of the inlet pipe to ensure adequate liquid flow.
The body's free and unobstructed flow.
8. For ease of maintenance and safe operation, install a regulating valve on both the pump’s inlet and outlet pipelines, and also install a pressure gauge near the pump’s outlet to ensure:
Operate the pump within its rated range to ensure normal operation and extend its service life.
9. If the connection requires an enlarged diameter for import, please select an eccentric reducer fitting.

Startup, Operation, and Shutdown of DL Vertical Multistage Centrifugal Pumps

I. Startup:
1. When the pump is used in applications involving suction lift—that is, when the inlet experiences negative pressure—the inlet piping should first be filled with water to remove any air pockets, or a vacuum pump can be used to draw water into the system, ensuring that the entire pump and inlet piping are completely filled with water. Note that the inlet piping must be tightly sealed and free of any air leaks.
2. Close the gate valve and pressure gauge cock on the outlet pipe to reduce the starting current.
3. Manually rotate the rotor several times to lubricate the bearings and check whether the impeller and sealing rings inside the pump are rubbing against each other. If the rotor cannot be turned, do not attempt to start the pump until the cause of the problem has been identified.
4. Perform a trial start-up; the motor’s rotation direction should be consistent with the arrow indicated on the pump. Then, open the pressure gauge cock.
5. Once the rotor has reached normal operation and the pressure gauge shows the correct pressure, gradually open the outlet gate valve and adjust it to the desired operating conditions.

II. Operation:
1. While the pump is running, it is essential to closely monitor the instrument readings and operate the pump as close as possible to the flow rate and head specified on the nameplate. Absolutely avoid operating the pump at excessively high flow rates.
2. The motor current value during scheduled inspections should not exceed the rated current.
3. The bearing temperature of the pump must not exceed 75℃ and must not be more than 35℃ above the ambient temperature.
4. When starting the pump, loosen the packing gland slightly. Once the expanded graphite or packing has fully expanded, adjust it to the appropriate tightness.
5. Worn-out vulnerable parts should be replaced promptly when their wear exceeds the acceptable limit.
6. If any abnormal phenomena are detected, immediately stop the machine and check the cause.

3. Parking:
1. Close the gate valve on the outlet pipe and close the vacuum gauge cock.
2. Stop the motor, then close the pressure gauge cock.
3. During the cold winter season, the liquid inside the pump should be drained completely to prevent freezing and cracking.
4. If the pump is to be discontinued for an extended period, it should be disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, and properly stored.

Q

What is your typical delivery time?

A

Models in stock can be shipped the next day at the latest. All others are custom-made, with lead times generally ranging from 7 to 90 days depending on the product size and project specifics. Please contact our sales manager for details: 0731-88632200 。

Q

Do you have centrifugal pumps in stock?

A

Centrifugal pumps come in numerous models and configurations. Except for a small number of high-volume, standard models that are in stock, the vast majority are not stocked and are customized products. We need to select a pump based on your site's flow rate, head, media temperature, pH value, and installation conditions, etc., to determine the pump model and configuration before we can submit an order to the factory for production.

Q

What information should I provide when requesting a quote?

A

Generally, to obtain an accurate quotation, we recommend providing us with the following information: pump flow rate, head, on-site operating voltage and frequency, temperature, pH value, and solid particle content of the fluid being conveyed, and on-site installation conditions (horizontal or vertical installation), etc.

If you are not sure, don't worry, our business managers will assist you in determining this.

Q

What products do you mainly produce?

A

Zhonglian Pump Industry manufactures various large industrial centrifugal pumps. Main products include: self-balancing multi-stage pumps, multi-stage centrifugal pumps, single-stage centrifugal pumps, split-case pumps, chemical pumps, submersible pumps, pipeline pumps, long-shaft pumps, condensate pumps, etc.

Q

Could you help me with the selection?

A

Certainly! If the water pump model is not selected accurately, there will be big problems. If you choose a smaller one, it won't meet your needs; if you choose a larger one, it will waste electricity and fuel, increasing your costs.

Q

Why is it so slow to get a price quote?

A

Because centrifugal pumps are non-standard customized products with many models, the price range is also very large. Even for the same model, the price difference is also very large due to different materials and configurations. Taking the most common water pump accessory—the impeller—as an example, the price of a stainless steel impeller is several times that of a cast iron impeller. Therefore, we need to clarify the relevant information to give you an accurate price. Normally, if you provide relatively comprehensive information, we can quote within 5 minutes.
