Product Overview
The dual-inlet self-balancing multistage pump is a new-generation, self-balancing multistage centrifugal pump developed by Changsha Zhonglian Pump Industry, a leading manufacturer of multistage pumps, based on the DP-type self-balancing multistage pump. It represents a completely new line of self-balancing multistage centrifugal pumps designed specifically for mining applications. This pump meets the demand for dual inlets in centrifugal pumps and features an easily disassembled and reassembled design. Its structure can be adjusted according to specific requirements, making it adaptable to various production needs and broadening its application scope. It serves as a powerful complement to both single-stage double-suction horizontal centrifugal pumps and conventional horizontal self-balancing multistage centrifugal pumps.

The double-inlet multistage pump boasts advantages such as high efficiency and energy savings, a compact structure, zero external leakage, safe and stable operation, and enhanced versatility. It is ideally suited for applications involving large flow rates and high head pressures in sectors including coal mines, municipal construction, tap water projects, hydraulic engineering, and petrochemical industries. This pump can completely replace the traditional single-stage, double-suction, horizontal centrifugal multistage water delivery system, enabling first-level drainage and significantly reducing both project budgets and equipment operation and maintenance costs.
The dual-inlet self-balancing multistage pump features a dual-inlet design, with the impeller and rotor components arranged symmetrically. Thanks to its unique structural design, the axial forces generated by the impeller are automatically balanced. The two flow passages converge in the discharge section before being discharged, achieving parallel flow paths. This design not only fully balances the axial forces acting on the rotor components within the pump but also eliminates the need for balance pipes or sealing devices in high- and low-pressure zones, thereby reducing leakage and avoiding the volumetric losses associated with traditional multistage centrifugal pumps that rely on balance pipes and sealing mechanisms, ultimately enhancing the overall efficiency of the pump unit.

Application Scope of MDSP Double-Inlet Self-Balancing Multistage Centrifugal Pump
★ Water conservancy projects, urban and municipal construction—water supply and drainage:
For conveying clear water or liquids with physicochemical properties similar to clear water, provided that the liquids do not contain solid particles and have a temperature below 80℃.
★ Mine drainage and emergency rescue:
For conveying neutral mine water and other similar wastewater with a particle content of ≤1.5%, particle diameters of ≤1.3 mm, and temperatures ranging from -20℃ to 104℃.
★ Petrochemicals:
Conveying oils and petroleum products that contain no solid particles, have temperatures ranging from -20℃ to 105℃, and viscosities below 120 centistokes.
★ Coal chemical industry, chemical industry, chemical process flows, and brine extraction and transportation:
For conveying mine water and other mildly corrosive liquids that are free of particles and have temperatures ranging from -20℃ to 104℃.
★ Pressurized water delivery in power generation, power plants, boiler feedwater systems and condensate recovery systems, pressure water delivery in deaeration equipment, and high-pressure water production in industrial processes:
The MDSP double-inlet multistage pump is primarily used for conveying clean water or liquids with physicochemical properties similar to clean water, at temperatures ranging from -20℃ to 210℃ and free of solid particles. It is suitable for medium-, low-, and high-pressure water supply applications. By modifying the pump material (or the material of the pump’s wetted parts), changing the sealing configuration, and adding a cooling system, this pump can also be used to convey hot water, oils, corrosive media, or media containing abrasives at temperatures up to 210℃.
★ Other:
Suitable for high-flow, high-head applications such as long-distance water supply, agricultural irrigation, and pumped-storage hydroelectric power.
Structural Features of the MDSP Double-Inlet Self-Balancing Multistage Centrifugal Pump
The double-inlet multistage pump includes two types: one with a sectional double-inlet self-balancing multistage centrifugal pump whose pump body at both ends features guide vanes, while the middle discharge casing is a volute; and another with a fully volute-based pump body structure. At both ends of the double-inlet multistage pump are inlets (double inlets), symmetrically arranged around several single-stage impellers stacked together to form a multistage impeller. The middle section serves as the pump’s outlet and is equipped with a double-suction impeller. Since both ends of the pump serve as inlets, the medium being conveyed has not yet been pressurized by the impellers; thus, there is no need for a balance pipe in the high-pressure end. Moreover, the axial forces generated by the pump impellers are automatically balanced, and the pressures at both ends of the double-suction impeller remain essentially equal, eliminating the need for sealing devices between high- and low-pressure zones. As a result, this design avoids the volumetric losses typically associated with traditional multistage centrifugal pumps that rely on balance pipes and sealing devices, thereby improving efficiency. Furthermore, this design is simpler in structure than multistage centrifugal pumps composed of double-suction impellers.

Q
What is your typical delivery time?
A
Models in stock can be shipped the next day at the latest. All others are custom-made, with lead times generally ranging from 7 to 90 days depending on the product size and project specifics. Please contact our sales manager for details: 0731-88632200 。
Q
Do you have centrifugal pumps in stock?
A
Centrifugal pumps come in numerous models and configurations. Except for a small number of high-volume, standard models that are in stock, the vast majority are not stocked and are customized products. We need to select a pump based on your site's flow rate, head, media temperature, pH value, and installation conditions, etc., to determine the pump model and configuration before we can submit an order to the factory for production.
Q
What information should I provide when requesting a quote?
A
Generally, to obtain an accurate quotation, we recommend providing us with the following information: pump flow rate, head, on-site operating voltage and frequency, temperature, pH value, and solid particle content of the fluid being conveyed, and on-site installation conditions (horizontal or vertical installation), etc.
If you are not sure, don't worry, our business managers will assist you in determining this.
Q
What products do you mainly produce?
A
Zhonglian Pump Industry manufactures various large industrial centrifugal pumps. Main products include: self-balancing multi-stage pumps, multi-stage centrifugal pumps, single-stage centrifugal pumps, split-case pumps, chemical pumps, submersible pumps, pipeline pumps, long-shaft pumps, condensate pumps, etc.
Q
Why is it so slow to get a price quote?
A
Because centrifugal pumps are non-standard customized products with many models, the price range is also very large. Even for the same model, the price difference is also very large due to different materials and configurations. Taking the most common water pump accessory—the impeller—as an example, the price of a stainless steel impeller is several times that of a cast iron impeller. Therefore, we need to clarify the relevant information to give you an accurate price. Normally, if you provide relatively comprehensive information, we can quote within 5 minutes.
