　　The ZW-type non-clogging sewage discharge self-priming pump is a newly designed product successfully developed on the basis of repeated research into similar technologies both domestically and abroad. This pump integrates self-priming capability with non-clogging sewage discharge in a single unit. It adopts an axial reflux design and features a unique configuration of the pump body and impeller flow passages, enabling it to function like a conventional self-priming clear-water pump—eliminating the need for bottom valves or priming procedures—and simultaneously capable of handling sewage containing large solid particles and long-fiber impurities without getting clogged. It is widely used in municipal sewage discharge projects, manure treatment in pond and aquaculture systems, sedimentation of waste mine residues, and as a versatile impurity pump for various chemical media in light industry, papermaking, food processing, chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals, power generation, pulp and paper, and mixed materials.

　　Compared with similar domestic products, the ZW-type sewage self-priming pump features a simple structure, excellent self-priming performance (with a self-priming height of up to 5 meters), strong sewage discharge capacity, high efficiency and energy savings, and convenient maintenance (it can completely replace WQ and QW submersible sewage pumps). Operating Conditions for the ZW Non-Clogging Sewage Self-Priming Pump

　　1. Ambient temperature ≤ 50℃; medium temperature ≤ 80℃; special requirements allow up to 200℃.

　　2. For cast iron materials, the medium’s pH range is 6–9; for stainless steel, it is 2–13.

　　3. The medium's specific gravity shall not exceed 1240 kg/m³.

　　4. The self-priming sewage pump of the ZW type must not exceed the specified self-priming height of 4.5 to 5.5 meters, and the length of the suction pipe should be ≤10 meters.

　　5. The ZW self-priming sewage pump can handle suspended particles with diameters up to 60% of the pump’s inlet diameter, and fibers with lengths up to five times the pump’s inlet diameter.

Working Principle of the ZW Non-Clogging Sewage Self-Priming Pump

　　The ZW non-clogging sewage self-priming pump consists primarily of a pump body, an impeller, a rear cover, a mechanical seal, a pump shaft, a bearing housing, an inlet valve, a gas-liquid separation pipe, a water-injection valve, and inlet and outlet pipes. The pump’s structural diagram is shown in the figure above.

　　Working principle of the ZW self-priming sewage pump: The pump body is equipped with a liquid storage chamber, which is connected to the pump’s working chamber via an upper return port and a lower circulation port, forming an axial-flow external-mixing system. After the pump stops running, a certain volume of liquid remains stored in the pump’s internal cavity. When the pump is started, the liquid stored in the cavity, under the action of the impeller, is thrown upward along with air. The liquid then flows back into the working chamber through the mesh of the gas-liquid separation tube, while the gas is discharged from the pump, creating a certain degree of vacuum inside the pump and thus achieving self-priming capability.

Application of ZW Non-Clogging Sewage Self-Priming Pump Product

　　The ZW-type sewage self-priming pump is suitable for applications including the discharge of heavily polluted wastewater from industrial and commercial facilities, sewage pumping stations in residential areas, drainage systems at municipal wastewater treatment plants, drainage stations in civil defense systems, water supply equipment at tap water plants, sewage disposal in hospitals and hotels, construction sites for municipal engineering projects, auxiliary equipment for mining operations, rural biogas digesters, agricultural irrigation systems, and other industries. It can handle sewage containing solid particles and debris, as well as clean water and media with mild corrosivity.

Use of the ZW Non-Clogging Sewage Self-Priming Pump

　　1. Before use, check whether the pump’s rotation direction is correct and whether its rotation is smooth.

　　2. Unscrew the liquid-filling screw plug located on the top of the pump body, fill the reservoir completely with liquid, and then tighten the screw plug securely. Thereafter, no further liquid refilling is required when starting up the pump. Do not start the pump if the reservoir is insufficiently filled; otherwise, the pump may fail to operate properly and the mechanical seal could easily be damaged.

　　3. When starting up, first open the outlet flow control valve to facilitate the discharge of gas during the self-priming process. After the pump has started, adjust the opening of the outlet flow control valve so that the pressure gauge reading falls within the specified range (refer to the pressure control range table for various pump types). Avoid operating the pump at the lower limit of the specified range to prevent motor overload and burnout due to excessive shaft power, or cavitation caused by excessive flow, which could disrupt normal pump operation, induce severe vibration, and generate noise.

　　4. During operation, regularly check the temperature rise of both the pump and the motor. If you notice any noise or other abnormal sounds, stop the machine immediately for inspection and troubleshooting before resuming operation.

　　5. When shutting down the pump, first close the outlet flow control valve and then stop the pump to prevent insufficient liquid volume in the pump body due to siphonage.

　　6. Perform regular refueling and maintenance. If the pump is to be left unused for an extended period, disassemble it, clean it, apply lubricant, and store it properly.
