The Ingersoll Rand pneumatic diaphragm pump is a positive-displacement pump that uses compressed air as its power source. It operates by reciprocating deformation of a diaphragm, which causes changes in the pump’s internal volume. Its working principle is similar to that of a piston pump. When used according to specific principles and procedures, and in strict compliance with the instructions and precautions outlined in the operating manual, the pneumatic diaphragm pump can deliver significant operational benefits and contribute effectively to various applications, demonstrating its excellent practical value. When operating and using the pneumatic diaphragm pump, pay attention to the following points: Ensure that the maximum particle size contained in the fluid does not exceed the pump’s maximum safe particle-diameter rating. Securely fasten the pump and all connecting pipe joints to prevent static sparks caused by vibration, impact, or friction in case of pump disassembly. Use antistatic hoses. Periodically inspect and test the reliability of the grounding system, ensuring that the grounding resistance is less than 100 ohms. Maintain good ventilation and exhaust systems, and keep the pump away from flammable, explosive materials and heat sources. The inlet air pressure must not exceed the pump’s maximum allowable operating pressure; compressed air exceeding the rated pressure of the pipeline pump could result in personal injury, property damage, and degradation of the pump’s performance.

Electrostatic sparks can trigger explosions, leading to personal injuries, fatalities, and property damage. Therefore, it is essential to use conductors with sufficiently large cross-sectional areas as needed and to ensure that the grounding screw on the pump is properly and reliably grounded. Grounding requirements must comply with local regulations, laws, and any specific site-specific stipulations. The pump's exhaust may contain solid particles; never direct the exhaust outlet toward the work area or personnel to avoid the risk of personal injury. When the diaphragm fails, the material being pumped by the sewage pump could spray out through the exhaust silencer. Ensure that the piping system connected to the pump can withstand the maximum output pressure generated.
