“DF”—denotes a single-suction, multistage, segmental corrosion-resistant centrifugal pump.
“25” – indicates the pump’s flow rate (m³/h)
“50” – indicates the single-stage head of the pump (m)
“5” – indicates the series.
Structural Type of DF Horizontal Corrosion-Resistant Stainless Steel Multistage Centrifugal Pump
The DF-type stainless steel multistage pumps are horizontally mounted. With the exception of the DF155-30 model, whose inlet is horizontal, the inlets of all other models point vertically upward. The discharge direction of all DF-type stainless steel multistage centrifugal pumps is vertically upward. As a standard, these pumps use packing seals for shaft sealing; however, mechanical seals can also be provided upon customer request. With the exception of the DF85-67 horizontal corrosion-resistant stainless steel multistage pump, which employs sliding bearings lubricated with thin oil, and the DF155-67 pump, which uses rolling bearings lubricated with thin oil, all other models utilize rolling bearings lubricated with grease. With regard to axial forces, the DF3-40Ⅱ pump balances them by means of a symmetrical impeller arrangement, while all other models rely on a balance disc mechanism for axial force balancing.
Structural Features of the DF Horizontal Corrosion-Resistant Stainless Steel Multistage Centrifugal Pump
The DF corrosion-resistant stainless steel multistage pump adopts a D-type multistage centrifugal pump structure, and the entire unit is divided into four main parts: the stator section, the rotor section, the sealing section, and the bearing section.
1. Stator Section:
The pump body—comprising the suction and discharge sections, the middle section, and guide vanes—is assembled by screws tightened with tie rods, thereby forming a sealed working chamber.
2. Rotor Section:
It consists of a shaft, an impeller, a shaft sleeve, and a balance disc assembly. Driven by the shaft, the impeller rotates to generate centrifugal force, thereby inducing the flow of the medium.
3. Bearing section:
It consists of a bearing housing, a bearing, and a bearing cap. The bearing supports the shaft and ensures its normal and stable operation.
4. Sealing section:
They are divided into packing seals and mechanical seals. Packing seals are primarily used in applications where leakage requirements are not stringent or where the medium contains solid particles. Mechanical seals, on the other hand, are suitable for high-temperature, high-pressure, corrosive environments with strict leakage requirements. Both types of seals serve to seal both ends of the pump, preventing the medium inside the pump from leaking out and ensuring the pump's overall sealing performance.

The flow-path components of the DF-type horizontal stainless steel multistage centrifugal pump are available in two major material categories: cast steel and cast stainless steel (including grades such as 304, 316, 316L, 2205, and 2507). When placing an order, you should carefully select the pump’s material, sealing type, and structural design based on the name and concentration of the conveyed medium, the inlet pressure, the operating temperature, and the degree of corrosion the material may experience.

Centrifugal pumps come in numerous models and configurations. Except for a small number of high-volume, standard models that are in stock, the vast majority are not stocked and are customized products. We need to select a pump based on your site's flow rate, head, media temperature, pH value, and installation conditions, etc., to determine the pump model and configuration before we can submit an order to the factory for production.
