The FY-type corrosion-resistant submersible chemical pump is a single-stage, single-suction, long-shaft submersible centrifugal chemical pump. Developed by Zhonglian Pump Industry—a manufacturer of chemical centrifugal pumps—this new fluoroplastic submersible pump builds upon the company’s traditional corrosion-resistant plastic submersible pumps and incorporates advanced technologies from similar products through improved design. Its marking, rated performance points, and flange connection dimensions are all equivalent to those specified in the ISO 2858 international standard, while its technical specifications comply with the ISO 5199 standard. Compared to the original FY-type corrosion-resistant submersible pump, this model boasts advantages such as compact size, high efficiency, excellent energy-saving performance, and reliable operation. It is particularly suitable for conveying corrosive media containing slight amounts of solid particles or abrasive materials.

FY Corrosion-Resistant Submersible Chemical Pump

The FY-type corrosion-resistant submersible chemical pump eliminates the mechanical seals commonly used in other submersible pumps and instead features a uniquely designed impeller. This design ensures high efficiency, energy savings, zero leakage, and an exceptionally long service life, making the pump widely applicable in industries such as petroleum, chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals, papermaking, metallurgy, and wastewater treatment. The pump’s typical operating temperature range is from 0°C to 105°C. When the temperature falls within the ranges of -20°C to 0°C or 105°C to 180°C, insulated jackets and cooling jackets can be employed, along with low-temperature or high-temperature wear-resistant guide bearings. In such cases, users must specify these requirements. If the conveyed medium contains a small amount of solid particles, the sliding bearings should be lubricated externally (using clean water or other compatible media under external pressure exceeding 0.2 MPa). Users must also indicate this requirement. The pump is designed for a maximum working pressure of 1.6 MPa.

Product Features and Operating Conditions of FY Corrosion-Resistant Submersible Chemical Centrifugal Pumps

1. The FY-type corrosion-resistant submersible pump is a vertical submersible pump with an aesthetically pleasing design. It can be directly installed on the storage tank of the medium being conveyed, requiring no additional floor space and thus reducing capital investment in infrastructure.

2. The mechanical seal has been eliminated, resolving the hassle of frequent maintenance required by other submersible pumps due to the easy wear and tear of mechanical seals, thereby reducing pump operating costs and improving work efficiency.

3. It features a unique centrifugal double-balanced impeller, designed for conveying clean media free of solid particles; it boasts exceptionally low vibration and noise levels and high efficiency. An open-type double-balanced impeller is used for handling dirty liquids containing solid particles and short fibers, ensuring smooth operation and preventing clogging.

Usage conditions:

1. The FY-type corrosion-resistant submersible pump is designed for media with temperatures ranging from -20°C to 140°C.

2. For pumps made of cast iron, the pH range of the medium should be between 5 and 9.

3. For pumps equipped with open impellers, the diameter of solid particles contained in the liquid being conveyed should ideally not exceed 30% of the pump’s suction inlet diameter.

The FY-type submersible chemical pump mainly consists of components such as the pump body, pump cover, impeller, shaft, elastic coupling, pipe flange, guide bearing, intermediate connecting pipe, upper and lower liquid discharge pipes, bearing bracket, and baseplate.

The pump’s suction inlet is aligned along the axis direction; the outlet is parallel to the axis.

When viewed from the self-priming inlet toward the motor end, the pump rotates clockwise.

The vertical motor of the FY-type submersible chemical pump is securely fastened to the motor base by double-head bolts and directly drives the pump via an elastic coupling. The pump body’s intermediate connecting pipe, bearing bracket, discharge pipe, and pipe flange are all connected by bolts to form a single unit, which is then fixed onto a large baseplate. The entire pump assembly is mounted onto the vessel through a bottom plate. With the exception of the wetted parts, other major components of the FY-type pump—such as the motor base and bearing bracket—are made of cast iron.
