The pump features a metal housing lined with perfluoroalkoxy alkane (F46). The pump cover, impeller, and shaft sleeve are all integrally sintered and molded from metal inserts encased in fluoroplastic. The shaft seal employs an advanced externally mounted bellows mechanical seal. The stationary ring is made of 99.9% alumina ceramic (or silicon nitride), while the rotating ring is made of a PTFE-filled material, offering exceptional corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and sealing performance.

Product Overview

　　The IHF-type fluoroplastic corrosion-resistant chemical pump is a single-stage, single-suction fluoroplastic alloy chemical pump (hereinafter referred to as the IHF centrifugal pump). It is designed and manufactured in accordance with international standards and incorporates the manufacturing processes of non-metallic pumps. The pump body features a metal casing lined with perfluoroalkoxy copolymer (F46). The pump cover, impeller, and shaft sleeve are all made by integral sintering and pressing, with metal inserts encased in fluoroplastic material. The shaft seal employs an advanced externally mounted bellows mechanical seal; the stationary ring is made of 99.9% alumina ceramic (or silicon nitride), while the rotating ring is made of PTFE-filled material, offering excellent corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and sealing performance. Both the pump’s inlet and outlet are reinforced with cast steel bodies, significantly enhancing the pump’s pressure resistance. Practical applications have demonstrated that this pump boasts advantages such as exceptional corrosion resistance, wear resistance, high-temperature resistance, resistance to aging, high mechanical strength, smooth operation, an advanced and rational structural design, strict and reliable sealing performance, convenient disassembly and maintenance, and a long service life.

Applications of IHF Corrosion-Resistant Fluoroplastic Chemical Centrifugal Pump Products

　　The corrosion and wear resistance of IHF-type fluoroplastic chemical pumps have been practically proven and unanimously recognized by a wide range of users. Currently, these pumps are widely used in the following applications: the conveyance of corrosive media in chemical production; the treatment of chlorine-containing wastewater and acid-addition processes in ion-exchange membrane caustic soda plants (at present, most ion-exchange membrane caustic soda plants in China rely on our company’s products for their pumps); the transport of electrolyte solutions in non-ferrous metal smelting; the pickling process in automobile manufacturing; as well as numerous other industries including pharmaceuticals, petroleum, power generation, electroplating, dyes, pesticides, papermaking, food processing, and textiles. Under temperature conditions ranging from -85°C to 150°C, these pumps can continuously convey highly corrosive media—including sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, nitric acid, aqua regia, strong alkalis, strong oxidizers, organic solvents, and reducing agents—at any concentration without sustaining any damage.

Startup, Operation, and Shutdown of IHF Corrosion-Resistant Fluoroplastic Chemical Centrifugal Pumps

1. Before starting the IHF fluoroplastic centrifugal pump, the pump casing must be completely filled with the liquid to be conveyed; starting the pump without any liquid is strictly prohibited.

2. Close the outlet valve, and immediately after connecting the power, check that the pump’s rotation direction matches the arrow indicating the pump’s rotation direction. Reverse operation is strictly prohibited.

3. After the IHF fluoroplastic centrifugal pump is started and reaches its normal operating speed, gradually open the outlet valve and adjust it to the desired operating conditions before putting the pump into service. Under the condition that the valve on the discharge pipeline is closed, the pump must not run continuously for more than 3 minutes.

4. When shutting down, first close the outlet valve and then disconnect the power supply.

Maintenance and Servicing of IHF Corrosion-Resistant Fluoroplastic Chemical Centrifugal Pumps

1. Regularly inspect the pump and motor, and replace worn parts as needed.

2. Regularly ensure that the bearing housing is lubricated with high-quality calcium-based grease to maintain proper lubrication of the bearings.

3. When the pump is to be shut down and left unused for an extended period, in addition to draining all corrosive liquids from the pump, it is especially important to thoroughly clean all components and flow passages inside the pump, and then disconnect the power supply.

4. The pump must never be operated under no-load conditions.

5. If the medium contains solid particles, a filter must be installed at the pump inlet.

Do you have centrifugal pumps in stock?

Centrifugal pumps come in numerous models and configurations. Except for a small number of high-volume, standard models that are in stock, the vast majority are not stocked and are customized products. We need to select a pump based on your site's flow rate, head, media temperature, pH value, and installation conditions, etc., to determine the pump model and configuration before we can submit an order to the factory for production.

What information should I provide when requesting a quote?

Generally, to obtain an accurate quotation, we recommend providing us with the following information: pump flow rate, head, on-site operating voltage and frequency, temperature, pH value, and solid particle content of the fluid being conveyed, and on-site installation conditions (horizontal or vertical installation), etc.
