The CZ-type standard chemical process pump is a horizontal, single-stage, single-suction centrifugal chemical pump designed for petroleum applications. Its dimensions and performance comply with the standards DIN 2456, ISO 2858, and GB 5662-85, making it a fundamental product in the standard chemical pump series. The product adheres to the following standards: API 610 (10th Edition) and VDMA 24297 (light/medium-duty). The performance range of the CZ chemical process pump encompasses all the performance characteristics of the IH-series standard chemical pumps. Moreover, its efficiency and cavitation performance exceed those of the IH-type pumps, allowing for direct interchangeability on a per-unit basis. The pump features a flat characteristic curve, making it particularly suitable for applications where flow rates vary considerably. This chemical pump boasts a low cavitation value and high efficiency, maintaining these excellent performance attributes even under partial-load conditions. It is ideally suited for conveying media that are either low- or high-temperature, neutral or corrosive, clean or containing solid particles, toxic, or flammable and explosive. It is primarily used in industries such as chemical processing, petrochemicals, steel mills, power plants, paper manufacturing, food processing, sugar production, and other related sectors.

The CZ chemical process pump can convey solutions of inorganic and organic acids—including concentrated sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, and phosphoric acid—at various temperatures and concentrations; alkaline solutions such as sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate at different temperatures and concentrations; a wide variety of salt solutions; various liquid petrochemical products, organic compounds, and other corrosive liquids. This pump model is suitable for applications in refineries, petrochemical industries, coal-processing facilities, cryogenic engineering, the paper industry, sugar production, water treatment plants, seawater desalination plants, power plants, environmental protection projects, and the shipbuilding industry, among others.

Structural features:

Standard chemical process pump casing: The pump features a horizontal, rear-opening design. The pump head is connected to the motor via a coupling and mounted on a baseplate. The impeller has a rear-open configuration and is supported by three bearings. The shaft seal employs an externally mounted mechanical seal equipped with a cooling system. Oil level in the bearing housing is monitored using an oil-level sight glass. The overall structure is compact and well-organized. The pump casing is cast with mounting feet and adopts a foot-supported structure, enabling it to bear loads from the piping system and transmit these loads directly to the foundation. As a result, the pump rotor remains free from bending under load, ensuring both optimal load-bearing capacity and extended service life for the mechanical seal. During maintenance, there is no need to disconnect the pipelines connected to the pump casing—simply loosen the bolts connecting the bracket to the pump casing, separate the two components, and then proceed with servicing the impeller and mechanical seal. This approach makes maintenance simple and convenient.

Impeller: Closed, semi-open, and fully open impellers. In CZ chemical centrifugal pumps, the axial force is primarily balanced by back vanes or balance holes, while any residual axial force is borne by the bearings.

Pump cover: Forms a sealing cavity together with the sealing gland; standard cavity dimensions can be equipped with various sealing types.

Shaft seals: Depending on the operating conditions, various types can be used, including packing seals, single-face mechanical seals, double-single-face mechanical seals, and tandem mechanical seals.

Bearing: The lubrication method is dilute oil lubrication, with the oil level controlled by a constant-level oil cup, ensuring that the bearing operates in a well-lubricated condition at all times.

Shaft: Protected by a shaft sleeve to prevent direct contact between the medium and the shaft, thereby avoiding corrosion and extending the shaft's service life.

Rear-mounted design: Allows for easy maintenance without moving the pump’s inlet and outlet pipelines, making it convenient to use.
