　　The JMZ-type stainless steel self-priming pump is a stainless steel centrifugal self-priming pump developed by our company using a newly designed mechanical seal assembly. It is also known as the "liquor pump." This stainless steel self-priming pump is safe and explosion-proof, ensuring leak-free operation over long periods. It is suitable for pumping and conveying various corrosive liquids—including alcohols, pharmaceutical agents, gasoline, beverages, dairy products, solvent oils, syrups, and more—within a temperature range of -35°C to +120°C.

Structural Description of the JMZ Stainless Steel Self-Priming Centrifugal Pump

　　1. The main components of the JMZ stainless steel self-priming pump include: pump body, impeller, pump shaft, mechanical seal, and suspension assembly.

　　2. Regarding the pump’s rotation, viewed from the inlet side, it is counterclockwise.

　　3. Pump installation types: There are fixed and mobile types. For fixed pumps, the inlet and outlet connections typically use flanged fittings; for mobile pumps, the inlet and outlet connections usually employ clamp-type fittings. (Note: Flanges on fixed water pumps generally use 6 kg/cm² pressure-rated flanges.)

Installation and Disassembly of JMZ Stainless Steel Self-Priming Centrifugal Pumps

　　1. The JMZ self-priming pump can be installed according to the “Pump External Dimension Installation Diagram” to lay the foundation and determine the positions of the base bolts. However, it is best to carry out construction based on the actual dimensions of the pump’s base once the pump has been delivered to the site.

　　2. The pump is mounted on the foundation, and shims can be used to adjust the unit’s level. Use a spirit level to check the horizontal alignment of both the pump shaft and the motor shaft. Recheck and adjust the concentricity between the pump shaft center and the motor shaft center. Use a straightedge and feeler gauges to measure the differences in the outer diameter of the coupling—up, down, left, and right—and ensure that these differences do not exceed 0.15 millimeters. The deviation between the end faces of the two couplings shall not exceed 0.2 millimeters.

　　3. The pump should not bear the weight of the piping; the piping must be supported by appropriate piping support structures.

　　4. After installation is complete, manually rotate the coupling to check whether it turns smoothly and flexibly, and to ensure there is no jamming or sticking.

　　Disassembly and assembly:
　　1. Unscrew the four screws that connect the bearing housing to the pump body, and at the same time, loosen the mechanical seal and the pump cover.

　　2. Unscrew the impeller nut (right-hand thread), remove the impeller, key, and pump cover, then take out the mechanical seal from the pump cover.

　　3. Use a puller to remove the coupling, then disassemble the key and the bearing end cover. Finally, separate the shaft from the bearing.

　　4. The pump assembly sequence should be the reverse of the one described above.

　　5. When reassembling the inlet assembly of the self-priming pump, please note that the check valve should face forward to ensure proper alignment with the front surface of the check valve and thus guarantee the self-priming effect (see the lower-right diagram).

　　 Installation of mechanical seals:
　　1. When replacing the mechanical seal, be sure to ensure that both the specifications and model number match those of the original seal.

　　2. During the installation of mechanical seals, keep the area clean and avoid striking the sealing components to prevent damage and impairment.

　　3. When installing the large and small sealing valves and the stationary and rotating rings, the surfaces should be coated with a layer of clean machine oil and clear oil.

　　4. Insert the stationary ring and the large rubber ring into the pump cover, then assemble them together onto the shaft (Note: The pin on the rotating ring must be aligned with the drive hole in the impeller).

　　5. Combine the bearing seat, spring, and pusher into a single unit. Use the spring seat surface as the point of force application and push the assembly onto the main shaft. The optimal pushing force is such that, after the spring is compressed by 2–4 mm, the assembly can slide smoothly along the shaft. If the assembly can slide even before the spring is compressed, it indicates that the dynamic ring has a loose fit with the main shaft, resulting in insufficient friction. Conversely, if the spring is compressed by more than 6 mm yet the dynamic ring and sealing ring still cannot slide along the shaft, this suggests that the fit is too tight. In such cases, you should verify whether the mechanical seal matches the original specifications.
