The NL-type vertical submersible slurry pump is a single-stage, single-suction, vertical centrifugal pump. The main components of the slurry pump assembly include the volute, impeller, pump base, pump casing, support cylinder, motor base, and electric motor. The volute, pump base, motor base, and impeller nuts are made of cast iron, offering excellent corrosion resistance and durability, and are easy to manufacture.

NL-type vertical Mud pump The impeller features three single-curved blades with a circular arc profile. It employs a semi-enclosed impeller design and is made of malleable cast iron, ensuring high strength and excellent corrosion resistance. The impeller is easy to manufacture, has good flow characteristics, and delivers high efficiency. To reduce weight and minimize machining requirements, the pump shaft is fabricated from high-quality carbon steel drawn cold from round bars. The pump base is equipped with four skeleton oil seals and shaft sleeves to prevent shaft wear and extend the shaft’s service life. The NL vertical slurry pump can be used either vertically or at an incline, occupying a small footprint. Its volute casing must be fully submerged in the working medium during operation, making it easy to start without requiring priming water. When viewed from the motor’s tail end, the pump should rotate clockwise. The overall machine length is available in various specifications, allowing users to select the appropriate model based on their specific application and local conditions.

Meaning and Application of NL-Type Vertical Slurry Pump for Mining:
1. The NL-type mine slurry pump is a single-stage, single-suction centrifugal pump used in mining, papermaking, dyeing and printing, environmental protection, graphite, mica, gold, ceramics, oil refining, petroleum, chemical industry, agriculture, salt farms, iodine plants, dye and chemical industries, brewing, food processing, fertilizer production, coking plants, construction, marble quarries, gold mines, slurry handling, quicksand, mud ponds, polluted ponds, sewage containing thick slurries and suspended solids, as well as for loading and handling wastewater containing such materials. It can also be used for drainage in coal mines and for conveying fluids containing mud chunks.
2. When combined with a high-pressure water pump and a water jet, this hydraulic mechanized earthmoving unit can be used for earth excavation and transportation in small-scale hydraulic engineering projects such as land leveling, dredging of rivers and ponds, and opening up channels; it is also suitable for civil defense projects in urban areas and other similar undertakings.
3. Use fish farming for purposes such as clearing ponds with water and increasing oxygen levels in fish ponds.
Installation and Removal of NL-Type Vertical Slurry Pumps for Mining Applications:
(1) Disassembly
1. Remove the electrical panel or faceplate, and the outlet pipe.
2. Disassemble the volute and the impeller butterfly valve; gently pry the back side of the impeller to remove the key and then take out the impeller.
3. Disassemble the driven half-coupling, then remove the key, and subsequently detach the motor base from the support cylinder.
4. Remove the bolts connecting the pump base to the support cylinder to separate them.
5. Remove the sleeve and bearing from the shaft.
(2) Installation
1. Inspect all parts for any damage. Apply a thin layer of butter to both sides of all paper gaskets, and fill the bearings with two-thirds butter.
2. The skeleton oil seal must be filled with grease before being placed into the pump housing, and then the bearing should be installed.
3. After installing the O-ring inside the bushing, apply grease.
4. Mount the bearing onto the motor base, place a paper gasket and an oil seal ring, then install the shaft and support cylinder and secure them with screws.
5. Place a paper pad, then install the bearing, shaft sleeve, key, pump housing, and impeller. After tightening the impeller nut, manually rotate the impeller; it should turn smoothly.
6. Place a paper gasket, attach the pump housing, secure it with screws, and then install the filter screen. Next, manually rotate the impeller—ensure it turns smoothly.
7. Install the key and driven coupling onto the pump shaft, and install the key and driving coupling onto the motor shaft. Then, secure the motor to the motor base using bolts. After installation, the axial clearance between the driving coupling and the driven coupling should be 1 to 1.5 millimeters.
