　　The WLZ and WZY models of non-leaking vertical self-priming pumps are products independently developed by Zhonglian Pump Industry. They are widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical engineering, metallurgy, power generation, steelmaking, mining, papermaking, electroplating, environmental protection, fire protection, construction, and wastewater treatment. These pumps can partially replace submersible pumps, long-shaft pumps, and submersible sewage pumps, as well as pumps used in applications involving frequent starts. They are suitable for conveying clean water, seawater, sewage containing small particles (but no fibrous substances), industrial wastewater, oils, and various corrosive media.

Structural features of the WLZ vertical non-clogging self-priming centrifugal pump:

　　Compared with the WFB non-clogging self-priming pump, the WLZ (WZY) self-priming pump boasts significant technical advantages:

　　1. The pump impeller features a closed-loop design, achieving an efficiency 10% to 15% higher than that of the open-loop impeller used in the WFB non-clogging self-priming pump. For pumps with identical performance parameters, the motor power required is typically one grade lower, resulting in significant energy savings. Additionally, the impeller exhibits excellent cavitation resistance, and the allowable suction lift during installation is 0.5 to 1 meter deeper than that for the WFB pump.

　　2. The pump’s self-priming function employs a “multi-channel blade-type gas-water mixing and separator (self-priming disc),” which boasts the outstanding feature of rapidly completing the self-priming process. Compared to the WFB-type pump, which uses a single volute-type pressurized chamber for self-priming, this design reduces the self-priming time by more than one-third to one-half. Moreover, the pump features a compact size and light weight.

　　3. There are two types of inlet configurations: The WLZ pump features a pipeline-type structure, allowing its inlet and outlet to be connected and discharged in any orientation within a 360° plane. The WZY pump adopts a bottom-suction design, with its discharge outlet capable of discharging in any direction within a 270° plane. When maintaining or repairing these pumps, there is no need to dismantle the inlet and outlet pipelines. In particular, the WZY model occupies a smaller footprint, thereby reducing capital investment in infrastructure.

　　4. The sealing system employs a multi-surface, ring-type hydrodynamic seal consisting of an auxiliary impeller seal and a shutdown seal. The WFB vertical self-priming pump with hydrodynamic seal does not have a dedicated shutdown seal and is therefore not suitable for applications involving frequent starts.

　　5. The connection method is a rigid direct coupling between the pump and the motor. When viewed from the motor end, the pump rotates clockwise.

　　6. Unlike WFB pumps, the pump’s inlet does not require auxiliary devices such as check valves or electromagnetic vacuum breakers. Instead, it features a special U-shaped pipe structure with an air-balancing hole that automatically breaks the siphon effect. When the pump is shut down, the siphon action cannot empty the liquid stored inside the pump. Therefore, once the pump is filled with liquid during its initial operation, no further liquid needs to be added during subsequent operations—truly achieving “fill once, use for life.”

　　7. The pump can be equipped with a control cabinet that features multiple functions, including automatic start-up and shut-down based on liquid levels and overload alarms, enabling unmanned operation and automatic functioning.
