Product Overview

The FY-type submersible sewage pump is a new-generation corrosion-resistant sewage pump developed through improved design, incorporating advanced technologies from the same product line manufactured by a Swiss company, based on conventional corrosion-resistant submersible pumps. This submersible sewage pump is a single-stage, single-suction, long-shaft centrifugal pump. It eliminates the mechanical seals commonly used in other submersible pumps and features a uniquely designed impeller, making the pump highly efficient, energy-saving, leak-free, wrinkle-resistant, clog-free, and exceptionally durable. It is suitable for conveying corrosive media containing slight solid particles and abrasives, and thus finds wide application in industries such as petroleum, chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals, papermaking, metallurgy, and wastewater treatment.

The FY-type submersible sewage pump eliminates the mechanical seals commonly used in other sewage pumps and instead features a uniquely designed impeller, making the pump highly efficient, energy-saving, leak-free, and exceptionally long-lasting. As a result, it is widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals, papermaking, metallurgy, and wastewater treatment. The pump’s typical operating temperature range is from 0°C to 105°C. When the temperature falls within the ranges of -20°C to 0°C or 105°C to 180°C, insulated jackets and cooling jackets can be employed, along with low-temperature or high-temperature wear-resistant guide bearings. In such cases, users must specify these requirements. If the medium being conveyed contains small solid particles, the sliding bearings should be lubricated externally (using clean water or other permissible media at an external pressure exceeding 0.2 MPa). Users must also indicate this requirement. The pump’s design working pressure is 1.6 MPa.

Product Parameters

Applicable Conditions and Model Significance for FY-Type Chemical Submersible Corrosion-Resistant Sewage Pump:

  1. The temperature of the conveyed medium is -20 to 140℃.

  2. The sewage pump is made of cast iron and is suitable for media with a pH value ranging from 5 to 9.

  3. For pumps equipped with open impellers, the diameter of solid particles contained in the liquid being conveyed should preferably not exceed 30% of the pump’s suction port diameter.

Meaning of the FY Submersible Sewage Pump Model

Structural Diagram and Product Features of FY-Type Chemical Submersible Corrosion-Resistant Sewage Pump:

Structural Diagram of FY Corrosion-Resistant Sewage Pump

The FY-type submersible sewage pump is primarily composed of components including the pump body, pump cover, impeller, shaft, elastic coupling, pipe flange, guide bearing, intermediate connecting pipe, upper and lower discharge pipes, bearing bracket, and baseplate. The suction inlet of the sewage pump is aligned along the axis direction; the discharge outlet is parallel to the axis. When viewed from the suction inlet toward the motor end, the pump rotates clockwise.

The vertical motor of the FY-type submersible sewage pump is securely fastened to the motor base by double-head bolts and directly drives the pump via an elastic coupling. The pump body’s intermediate connecting pipe, bearing bracket, discharge pipe, and pipe flange are all connected by bolts to form a single unit, which is then fixed onto a large baseplate. The entire pump assembly is mounted onto the vessel through a bottom plate. With the exception of the parts that come into contact with the liquid, other major components of the FY-type pump—such as the motor base and bearing bracket—are made of cast iron.

  1. The FY corrosion-resistant sewage pump features a vertical design with an aesthetically pleasing appearance. It is directly installed on the storage tank of the medium being conveyed, requiring no additional floor space and thereby reducing capital investment in infrastructure.

  2. The FY corrosion-resistant sewage pump eliminates the mechanical seal, thereby resolving the hassle of frequent maintenance required by other submersible pumps due to the easy wear and tear of mechanical seals. This not only reduces the pump’s operating costs but also improves work efficiency.

  3. The FY corrosion-resistant sewage pump features a unique centrifugal double-balanced impeller, designed for conveying clean media free of solid particles. It boasts exceptionally low vibration and noise levels as well as high efficiency. For conveying unclean liquids containing solid particles and short fibers, the pump employs an open-type double-balanced impeller, ensuring smooth operation and preventing clogging.

Instructions for Use of FY Corrosion-Resistant Submersible Sewage Pump:

Disassembly and Assembly of Submersible Sewage Pumps

  (1) If the impeller needs to be replaced or inspected, close the outlet valve, remove the flange connection bolts and the baseplate connection bolts, and use lifting equipment to hoist the pump out of the vessel.

  (2) Hang the baseplate over the support frame, remove all bolts from the pump body, take out the pump cover and the impeller nut, and gently tap the pump body with a pair of hammers to remove the impeller.

  (3) When replacing the rolling bearing or packing, the baseplate remains stationary. Simply remove the motor and its supporting bracket, then take off the pump coupling, stuffing box, and round nut, and finally extract the bearing housing. To replace the packing, first remove the packing gland, then take out the old packing and install the new one.

  (4) The assembly and disassembly procedures are the reverse of each other; be sure to pay close attention to the concentricity of the components on the shaft.

Installation, Operation, and Maintenance of Submersible Sewage Pumps

  1. After assembling the pump, manually rotate the coupling to check whether it turns smoothly. Listen for any metallic rubbing noises and ensure that all component nuts are securely tightened.

  2. Check the concentricity of the pump shaft and the motor shaft. The difference between the outer diameters of the two couplings on the left and right sides must not exceed 0.1 mm, and the end-face clearance between the two couplings should be maintained at 1 to 2.5 mm.

  3. The distance between the pump’s suction inlet and the bottom of the container should be 2 to 3 times the diameter of the suction inlet, and the pump body should be more than 2.5 times the diameter away from the vessel wall.

  4. The discharge pipeline of the submersible sewage pump should be supported by a separate set of brackets; its weight must not be borne by the pump itself.

  5. Check the rotation direction of the motor to ensure that the pump’s rotation direction matches the indicated direction.

  6. Close the gate valve and pressure gauge on the outlet pipeline, and connect the cooling water pipe.

  7. Start the motor, open the pressure gauge, and slowly open the outlet pipe gate valve to the desired position, then bring it into normal operation.

  8. Regularly check the condition of the pump and motor. The temperature rise of the bearings should not exceed 75℃, and the bearing housing should be adequately lubricated with grease.

Q

What is your typical delivery time?

A

Models in stock can be shipped the next day at the latest. All others are custom-made, with lead times generally ranging from 7 to 90 days depending on the product size and project specifics. Please contact our sales manager for details: 0731-88632200 。

Q

Do you have centrifugal pumps in stock?

A

Centrifugal pumps come in numerous models and configurations. Except for a small number of high-volume, standard models that are in stock, the vast majority are not stocked and are customized products. We need to select a pump based on your site's flow rate, head, media temperature, pH value, and installation conditions, etc., to determine the pump model and configuration before we can submit an order to the factory for production.

Q

What information should I provide when requesting a quote?

A

Generally, to obtain an accurate quotation, we recommend providing us with the following information: pump flow rate, head, on-site operating voltage and frequency, temperature, pH value, and solid particle content of the fluid being conveyed, and on-site installation conditions (horizontal or vertical installation), etc.

If you are not sure, don't worry, our business managers will assist you in determining this.

Q

What products do you mainly produce?

A

Zhonglian Pump Industry manufactures various large industrial centrifugal pumps. Main products include: self-balancing multi-stage pumps, multi-stage centrifugal pumps, single-stage centrifugal pumps, split-case pumps, chemical pumps, submersible pumps, pipeline pumps, long-shaft pumps, condensate pumps, etc.

Q

Could you help me with the selection?

A

Certainly! If the water pump model is not selected accurately, there will be big problems. If you choose a smaller one, it won't meet your needs; if you choose a larger one, it will waste electricity and fuel, increasing your costs.

Q

Why is it so slow to get a price quote?

A

Because centrifugal pumps are non-standard customized products with many models, the price range is also very large. Even for the same model, the price difference is also very large due to different materials and configurations. Taking the most common water pump accessory—the impeller—as an example, the price of a stainless steel impeller is several times that of a cast iron impeller. Therefore, we need to clarify the relevant information to give you an accurate price. Normally, if you provide relatively comprehensive information, we can quote within 5 minutes.
