Product Overview

The YZ vertical submersible slurry pump features a vertical, single-stage, single-suction, cantilever centrifugal pump design. Drawing on our company’s more than twenty years of advanced manufacturing experience in the field of submersible slurry pumps, and utilizing state-of-the-art fluid dynamics software for optimized design and simulation calculations, we have introduced a new-generation submersible slurry pump. The impeller is a semi-open type, with agitator blades extending from the suction side of the impeller.

YZ Vertical Submersible Slurry Pump

The YZ vertical slurry pump is primarily used in industries such as environmental protection, municipal engineering, thermal power plants, coal coking plants, oil refineries, steel mills, mining, papermaking, cement plants, food processing, textile dyeing, and others. It is designed to pump concentrated liquids, heavy oils, oil residues, contaminated fluids, slurries, lime slurries, flowing sands, and mobile sludge from urban sewage channels, as well as liquids containing coal chunks and ash residues. It can also be employed in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries to pump fluids containing sand, sludge, and other solid particles, as well as corrosive liquids. Furthermore, the YZ vertical slurry pump can be selected for applications involving the conveyance of high-temperature fluids—such as kerosene, crude oil, asphalt, and oil residues—at temperatures up to 480℃.

Structural Description of the YZ Vertical Submersible Slurry Pump

The YZ vertical slurry pump features a single-stage, single-suction cantilever design. Its hydraulic components are connected via bearing housings, support brackets, and connecting pipes. The liquid is discharged through the discharge pipe assembly. The pump’s impeller is a semi-open impeller. Impeller Stirring blades are installed at the extension of the impeller inlet. The pump’s key feature is that the pump shaft in the submerged section has sufficient rigidity. There are no bearings between the impeller and the pump casing, and no mechanical seals are used. This design enables the pump to handle media containing solid particles at relatively high concentrations. The pump’s submergence length ranges from 800 to 2000 mm; an intake pipe can be optionally equipped if required. Since the pump operates with its shaft fully submerged in the liquid, no shaft seal is needed. Power transmission is achieved via a vertical electric motor mounted on a motor support and bearing pedestal, connected to the pump through a coupling.

The materials for flow-through components are selected based on the different characteristics of slurries in various industrial fields, choosing wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant materials that are appropriate for each application. Commonly used materials include:

Cr26, Cr27, Cr28, Cr30, Cr30A, C15MO3, CD4MCu.

Assembly Sequence for YZ Vertical Submersible Slurry Pump

(1) Install the bearings separately into the bearing housing and the bearing pedestal.
(2) Install the felt ring onto bearing end cover A, C, and the bearing housing.
(3) Install bearing end covers B and C onto the bearing housing and secure them with bolts.
(4) Slide the bearing housing, fitted with the bearing, onto the shaft, tighten the round nut, and securely fasten bearing end cover A to the bearing housing.
(5) Insert the shaft into the bearing housing, secure it with bolts, tighten the adjusting screw, and mount the bearing onto the support bracket. Then, place the water seal ring in the appropriate position around the lower bearing.
(6) Secure the coupling pipe to the bearing housing, then install the pump cover at the lower part of the coupling pipe. Next, fit the impeller onto the lower part of the shaft and tighten it securely. Subsequently, install the front cover of the pump body and fasten it with bolts. Use the adjusting screw located at the bearing housing to adjust the clearance between the impeller and the front cover—keeping this clearance within the range of 1 to 1.5 mm. Once the adjustment is complete, secure everything tightly with nuts and bolts.
(7) The motor support is mounted on the bearing housing and secured with bolts. A coupling assembly is installed at the upper end of the shaft, and the motor coupling is fastened to the motor shaft using set screws. The motor is then mounted onto the motor support and secured with bolts and nuts.
(8) Install the asbestos gasket, outlet elbow, and outlet pipe fittings in the order specified by the pump’s output sequence, and secure them to the support base.

What is your typical delivery time?

Do you have centrifugal pumps in stock?

Centrifugal pumps come in numerous models and configurations. Except for a small number of high-volume, standard models that are in stock, the vast majority are not stocked and are customized products. We need to select a pump based on your site's flow rate, head, media temperature, pH value, and installation conditions, etc., to determine the pump model and configuration before we can submit an order to the factory for production.

What information should I provide when requesting a quote?

Generally, to obtain an accurate quotation, we recommend providing us with the following information: pump flow rate, head, on-site operating voltage and frequency, temperature, pH value, and solid particle content of the fluid being conveyed, and on-site installation conditions (horizontal or vertical installation), etc.

Certainly! If the water pump model is not selected accurately, there will be big problems. If you choose a smaller one, it won't meet your needs; if you choose a larger one, it will waste electricity and fuel, increasing your costs.

Why is it so slow to get a price quote?

Because centrifugal pumps are non-standard customized products with many models, the price range is also very large. Even for the same model, the price difference is also very large due to different materials and configurations. Taking the most common water pump accessory—the impeller—as an example, the price of a stainless steel impeller is several times that of a cast iron impeller. Therefore, we need to clarify the relevant information to give you an accurate price. Normally, if you provide relatively comprehensive information, we can quote within 5 minutes.
